Life can be bloody exhausting, don’t you think? Why do I do this? Because I’ve been there. I burnt out and hit rock bottom when I worked my arse into the ground trying to achieve all my career and business goals. Yes I did achieve success, as I’m sure you have too, but the pace was not sustainable and so eventually I was actually damaging my success and everything I’d worked so hard for.
I was in adrenal fatigue and living on coffee to get through the day, I couldn’t think clearly or make even the simplest decisions, my confidence was at an all time low which was impacting the growth of my business, and I’d become completely disconnected from my friends and loved ones so I felt incredibly lonely and hopeless.
It took me a long time and a LOT of money to figure out how to restore my health and life, and understand that it was actually my brain driving everything. The truth was, this constant stress response was being triggered by my incessant drive to be the best, my perfectionism, my tendency to set incredibly high goals that were too high to achieve and then beat myself up for not achieving them, and my unbelievable need to be liked by everyone. After finishing the program I feel like I am at peace with myself and everything around me. I have overcome the constant need of pleasing people and not feeling enough. Now, I feel I am enough and I have always been. I no more feel the need to change myself in order to be accepted. I feel safe and secure in my job and my own business. When I met Laura I was at my wits end. I was working very long hours, eating badly and felt stressed and overwhelmed most of the time. I was in a cycle that I couldn’t seem to get out of, and had no strategies on how to manage my stress.
I now find myself in a place where I am calm, in control and living a happier, healthier life. I have boundaries in place that keep me on track with work but also help me prioritise my passions outside of the workplace. I exercise more, eat better, and have strategies on how to manage feelings of overwhelm, which previously were crippling.
