Meditate Mate was created to introduce kids to meditation. The soft cuddly monkey toy has an inbuilt speaker box, that with a press of a button plays a relaxing guided meditation softly spoken by a child. The spoken part plays for approximately 7 minutes and then is followed by 20 minutes of calming music. The benefits of meditation are now widely recognised and include stress reduction, improved sleep, better focus, reduced anxiety and greater self-awareness. Hi! We are sisters from the Central Coast NSW. We are the creators of Meditate Mate. Between us we have 6 children ranging in ages between 5 and 15. When our oldest kids were young, we discovered that playing a night-time meditation on a CD, would assist them in falling asleep.

As they got older and technology changed our kids would want to take a device (usually our phones) to bed to listen to a meditation, however sometimes they would be distracted by other apps and videos or even ads. This is when we came up with the idea for Meditate Mate. Designed for the purpose of playing the same meditation as a signal to the brain to go to sleep, whilst introducing kids to the practice of meditation.
